PIDD2 Control of Large Wind Turbines’ Pitch Angle

The pitch control system has a profound impact on the development of wind energy, and yet delay or non-minimum phase can weaken its performance. Thus, there is strong incentive to enhance technology in order counteract negative effects unidentified delays characteristics. To reduce complexity parameter-tuning process improve performance system, this paper, we propose novel method for turbine angle with time delays. Specifically, proposed state-space PIDD2, which based internal model (IMC) open-loop step response. Then, considering tracking, disturbance rejection measurement noise, controller verified through simulations. simulation results demonstrate that PIDD2 (SS-PIDD2) provide trade-off between robustness, domain noise attenuation effectively contrast series PID PI methods.
